Welcome to Higham Lane an 18th century cottage oozing
with charm and character. Sitting on the top of Joel Lane and
within meters of Werneth Low Country Park you are in the perfect spot to enjoy the countryside but still have everything to hand that you could need.
There are endless walks from your front door through the
country park and onto Romiley and Compstall, for those that
like to venture a little further.
On entrance there is a porch for you to kick off your muddy boots and
wet coat before entering your living room. With original beams and
wood burning stove this is the ideal place for curling up with a good
book or shaking up an espresso martini for friends.
You have space under the stairs to tuck away a desk if you need
an extra workspace.
Wander down into the kitchen/dining room, where the island is perfectly placed for a view onto the patio and views beyond. There are integrated appliances plus and range style cooker plus good
storage and worktop space for those that like to cook.
There is ample space for a dining table for at least six so Sunday lunch for family and friends is on the agenda. During the warmer months you can throw open the patio doors. Spill out onto the patio area where you can light the BBQ in the Summer months and enjoy the views.
Climb the stairs and enjoy the fabulous landing with its original beams.
Turn right where there are two double rooms to the front of the house overlooking the Country Park. The family bathroom is fully tiled with electric shower over the bath and heated towel rail.
The star of the show is the master suite, with views to take your breath away and a Juliet balcony to watch the fireworks and sunsets - this is truly a tranquil place to kick off your shoes and let the worries
of everyday life disappear. The ensuite completes the luxury - fully tiled with a thermostatic shower and immaculately presented, you won't be disappointed.
If you enjoy bubbles the outdoor sheltered hot tub comes with
the house - perfect for relaxing or inviting friends over.
You have Werneth Low Country Park on your doorstep with various walks or cycles around the cenotaph and through the park. The golf and cricket club are also within easy reach and both offer superb facilities for playing and entertaining.
Gee Cross has some fabulous facilities for all the family, lovely pubs to visit for lunch, a community centre and a handful of shops.
Transport links are in abundance with the M60/M67 as few minutes' drive away, and a selection of train stations to choose from. Manchester Airport is 25 minutes away and you have good access to the Peak District to get away from it all.
