Why you need a FOR SALE board
1st August 2024
If you are a fan of For Sale boards or not, there is no denying they help sell a property. If you are putting your house on the market and want the maximum level of enquiries, viewings and offers then a For Sale board is a wise option. Here’s why…
House Hunters
Serious house hunters still drive around their desired locations looking for properties that are for sale, if you choose not to have a For Sale board you are missing out on those calls.
Impulse Purchases
Some buyers might not actively be searching for a property but may become interested when they see a house they love while passing.
Word of Mouth
When someone is looking for their next home their friends and family generally know they are on the lookout. If those friends and family become aware of a suitable property that is for sale they would inform their friend or family member who is looking to buy. Hearing about a property from a friend encourages the potential buyer to check the property out and increases your chance of a sale.
Neighbours
Some people choose not to have a For Sale board because they don’t want their neighbours to know. The likelihood is they will find out your property is on the market via the internet so not having a board won’t stop them finding out. They may actually know someone who would be interested in viewing and buying your property.
Speed of Sale
Properties with “For Sale” boards tend to sell faster on average, due to a combination of all the reasons above.
